Ekram Hanna is a former refugee from Iraq (SIV), an innovative community leader, and an ardent advocate for refugee women. Studied computer science, licensed in teaching Leadership and mental health first aid training in the US. Experienced in Community development with a demonstrated history of working in non-profit organizations in Iraq and the US. Currently, Ekram is leading MIRA women empowerment program also started the movement of making mental health awareness among refugee community. Currently she serves as the Director of Development for the Middle Eastern Immigrant & Refugee Alliance (MIRA). She is also business owner at Quality Alterations & Bridal, Rotarian at Evanston Lighthouse Rotary club and advisory board member at Weave Tales Jacksonville.
